It was an honor to know such a distinguished gentleman, war hero and adopted uncle. We will miss him so much. Aunt Maude, you and his side of the family will continually be in our prayers and we are here if you need us for anything. Mom and I love you very much.

Cleve was a dear friend and mentor to me and will be missed. The members of VFW Post 10999 and our Ladies Auxiliary join with me in expressing our sorrow in the loss of our friend. We will keep Maud and all of Cleve's family in our prayers.

I will always remember Mr. Cox as a very "Matter of Fact" Man with a BIG HEART! Working for him at the VFW Headquarters was a privilege and a piece of my life that I would not change for anything! Even though I didn't get the chance to see and visit him often, there is still this little empty spot in my heart now. Always loved you Mr. Cox and I know I will see you again one day! Love, Robin
