For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones (Hebrews 6:10). Anne will never be forgotten for all the work she did for her community and especially those sweat little ones in her care. May God continue to strengthen your family in these “times hard to deal” (2Tim 3:1) with, especially without a beloved one such as Anne Marie Murphy.

In Loving Memory of Anne Marie Murphy

Anne Marie Murphy's life is one to celebrate
Striving to protect her students from harm she didn't hesitate.

Being a brave soul as one of her children died in her arms
So diligently she tried to protect him from harm.

Sadly, her efforts were to no avail
As the evil one stormed in and prevailed.

So she left this earth where evil abounds
And into Jesus' arms where safety was found.

As Anne stepped through the heavenly gate
She paused a moment to meditate.

Oh, but she was in awe when she saw the beautiful outdoors
The walks she can take made her spirits soar.

And as she looked up she saw the purple and white balloons
Realizing immediately that her Sandy Hook family was in tune.

Your loving Anne is happy but grieve her family must
God knows best and in Him have trust.

And know that it's okay to show anger and shed a river of tears
It helps cope with the loneliness and fears.

But get down upon your knees to God and say
"Thank you sweet Jesus, 'ere the time be so short, for sending her my way."

To the family of Anne Marie, I am so very, very grateful for her actions. I am the mother of a 12 year old daughter with Down's Syndrome and Autism. Even though we were far away from the dangers in Newtown on that horrible day, it means so much to me that this woman was willing to sacrifice her own life for the safety of those most innocent. I imagine my own daughter in that situation, and it would bring me great comfort knowing that loving arms were wrapped around my child when she needed me and I couldn't be there. May God hold you now in His perfect peace.

It has been more than two months since the tragic loss. My prayer is that you continue to heal; let yourself grieve by talking to family and friends. Talking about your feelings to a “true companion” who will listen empathetically can bring a relief. (Proverbs 17:17) Writing your feelings or your memories of dear Anne Marie can be soothing to the soul. We all grieve differently – at our on pace and in our own way. May you continue to find comfort from those with kindred spirit as we await God's wonderful promises for tomorrow!

To the Family ...You have my deepest sympathy. The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times the loss may seem unbearable. Something that can facilitate the release of grief is crying. There is "a time to weep," says the Bible (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4)

To The Murphy Family -

I am sorry for your loss. Anne Marie is a hero of extraordinary depths. She did what a mother would have done for her own children, but it was for those she was responsible for.

Remember to keep Anne Marie in your heart - where she has been always. Doing so, you can give her memory respect, and you will never have lost her.

With Love, Care, and Prayer.

I didn't know Anne Marie, but I send my deepest sympathies. I was looking at the various charities that families of the victims of this tragedy requested donations to. Although I live in New Jersey I was deeply saddened and wanted to do something in their memory. I work with autistic children in an elementary school and therefore chose Autism Speaks. When I read Anne Marie was 52, as am I, I was again touched. I am so sorry for your loss and am keeping all the victims and families in my daily prayers.
