In Loving Memory of Lauren Rousseau

It's been a year now since sweet Lauren went away
Her loved ones miss her every single day.

She worked so hard to get her degree so that she could teach
There were so many lives, young and old, that she reached.

Being like a ray of sunshine as she walked through the Sandy Hook halls
Pausing for a moment her spirit can be felt seeping through the Sandy Hook walls.

So like a mother hen when she heard the piercing 'noise'
She gathered around her those precious little girls and boys.

As she bowed her head she frantically prayed
For God to give her strength to be calm and brave.

Realizing God needed her help with the angels from Sandy Hook
He wanted her to continue her dream and teach them to read a book.

So with all her children gathered round her she didn't hesitate
With a radiant smile upon her face she walked them through the heavenly gate.

She truly looked forward teaching them of heavenly things
Such as cleaning their halos and after a day of play how to dust their little wings.

She's to teach them how to fly around and float upon a cloud
And the songs of the heavenly choir with their sweet voices singing clear and loud.

As you listen through the quiet of the night
Perhaps you can hear them singing with the stars shining ever so bright.

And as the lone star winks at you think of Lauren's smile
And remember she's watching over you as if you were her child.

So bow your head in the most earnest prayer and say
"Thank you dear God, 'ere the time be so short for sending her my way."

And if I go, while you are still here...
Know that I still live on,
Vibrating to a different measure,
Behind a thin veil that you cannot see through.
You will not see me, so you must have faith.
I will wait there for the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to the fullest.
And when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.~Unkown

It can be so hard to face the first year without Lauren , but God can give you all the strength you need to carry you through. He is aware of your pain and whatever you are going through emotionally. .. let him help you he knows what you need. (Jeremiah 29:12) . . .And YOU will certainly call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to YOU. . .

Wanted to let your family know that we are still thinking of you every day and hope your family finds peace. She was a true hero that day. I have watched your family in the videos from Demand Action, which I am a member of.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Sincerely

‘Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to persons like them.' Then Jesus takes the children in his arms, and blesses them. (Mt 19:13-15) Isn't it good to know that Jesus loves little children?
We must continue to cherish our little ones like Jesus before tragedy takes them away.
