One of my favorite books of all time...Where the Wild Things Are. And now my children love it, and my 2 year old runs around all day with his monster stance. You have influenced many with your talents, now get your eternal reward. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in Peace!

Maurice Sendak was a favorite author of mine as well as the hundreds of students that I taught over 31 years. "Where the Wild Things Are" was ALWAYS the very favorite book of my students. They loved it and wanted me to read it to them many times. We did classroom projects that related to this story too. What a great talent he was and he will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family. I am positive that his books will be enjoyed by many in the years to come.
Thank you, Mr. Sendak for the many joys you brought to so many of us. May you rest in peace.

The world has lost a great artist, one who understands the souls of children. Thank you kind sir for delighting us for many years. You've been an inspiration.
