Rose Gustafson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2018.

Rose O. Gustafson, 96, of Sun City, passed away May 6, 2018, at Banner Boswell Hospital after a short illness. Rose was born in Long Prairie, Minnesota to George and Martha Oedbauer.
Rose followed the path of her three older sisters to St. Joseph's School of Nursing in St Paul. After becoming a registered nurse, Rose became a stewardess for Northwest Orient Airlines in Minneapolis. After seven memorable years, Rose left Northwest to marry Walter Gustafson. Rose retired from the state of Minnesota Department of Health after a long career inspecting nursing homes throughout the state.
In the early 1990s Rose moved to Sun City, Arizona to be close to her sister , Trudy and brother-in-law, Bill.
Rose was a patron of the arts in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Phoenix, and Sun City. Rose was gracious, kind, thoughtful, and talented. She was a true lady of a kind rarely seen. She will be missed.
Rose was preceded in death by her sisters: Margaret, Dorothy, and Trudy. She is survived by seven nephews and three nieces who wish to thank Iris, Vickie, and Sal who were so kind.
