DELMAR, Md. - Carolyn Elena Harman, of Delmar, Md. and formerly of Dover, Del. and Anthem, Ariz.passed away on Thursday, Sept.6, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on Dec. 9, 1944 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Grace Loescher O'Leary.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jason R. Harman; a son, Jeff Harman and his wife Heather; a daughter, Debbie Bostic and her husband Eric; two granddaughters, Megan Harman and Isabel Olivo; and five grandsons, Joshua Harman, Cody Ford, Antonio Olivo, Eric Bostic, III, and Shane Bostic.
Carolyn was a graduate of Shawnee High School in Lima, Ohio. She worked together with her husband, Jason, at Peninsula Realty in Dover, Del., and V.I.P. Property Management in Scottsdale, Ariz. Above all, she devoted herself to the care of her family, cherishing each moment spent with her grandchildren. As a three-time cancer survivor and devoted Christian, Carolyn inspired everyone she met.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE 19901. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Roland Coon and Reverend Benita Harris will officiate. Interment will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parson's Cemetery in Salisbury, Md.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Carolyn's honor to Calvary Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE 19901, Asbury United Methodist Church, 1401 Camden Ave., Salisbury, MD 21801, or the American Cancer Society.
