Dear Betty and Family, I was so saddened to hear of Arthur's passing. He was such a gentleman. Dr and Mrs Langston thought so highly of you whole family and I did also. It was such a pleasure to know all of you through that office. Being a dental hygienist allowed me to meet so many wonderful people. May the love of family and friends give you peace in this sad time. Sincerely, Gerri Giering Your old dental Hygienist

I atteneded the U. of Chicago in 44-45 and Art Horowitz was a real buddy. In July of '46 he drove to Great Lakes when I was discharged and we spent a couple days at my home in Culver, Indiana on Lake Maxinkuckee. Is this the Art H. who went to the U. of Chicago?

I am pleased to say that I saw Art more often after I grew up than I did when I lived next door. I feel that I knew him well. In my view, he was a good man. I am saddened by his death. I certainly know my brother, who still lives next door, especially feels this loss.

I wish his family quick relief from the grief that I know they feel.
