Doc, an incredible musician who kept the native Appalachian music thriving in the midst of booming rock and roll era.. as a teenager in the late 60's and 70's attending the bluegrass festivals when Doc was on the billing was a must...and as I grew older the love of His talent kept drawing me to his performances..He was blessed by God to change the way generations would follow the roots of Appalachian music..Hewill be greatly missed..May God give the family peace as he has given Doc peace also.Absent from the body is present with the Lord..I know God is tappin His feet to His newest heavenly band member !! a new star appears in the sky and Doc sits upon it smilin laughin and pickin with Merle as they look down on those here they love
