To my dear father-
I have missed having you in my life and truly have missed our conversations. When Mandela died I read what you underlined in his book that I referred you too. I leave this quote from your underlined selections in your memory.
"Good leaders fully appreciate that the removal of tensions in society, of whatever nature, puts creative thinkers on centre stage by creating an ideal environment for men and women of vision to influence society."- Nelson Mandela from "Conversations with Myself"
On that note I wish you were still here so you, too, could appreciate what Obama is finally able to tackle, as we both knew he could have been doing all along if allowed. There are so many things I miss having conversations with you about even beyond politics.
There are so many things that I continue to talk with you about even though you are gone. I miss having you here, though. The large scale projects that I have been developing will still progress, but I will miss having you as a sounding board in parallel with what is going on in the world around me. Thank you for all that you have done and been for me. You have been such a wonderful support through it all whether in small ways or great. You have left me with many fond memories.
You're loving daughter,
p.s. I am sorry that they placed you under the wrong name on here. I have let them know there is a problem and hope that they fix it right away.
