His shipmates from the USS Randolph will truly miss Louie at our reunions. It was a joy to sit & swap stories with him at our reunions & on the golf course. We will always remember him as Louie Louie.
He was obviously a wonderful person who made the world a better place. My heart goes out to the family.
Katina, my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your Father. May his memory be eternal.
Lou, you taught me well the art of marksmanship. May you rest in peace.
Long before anyone thought of community base policing, Lou was doing it on a daily bases. He was a kind, gentle man that everyone respected. He symbolized the word "finest" during his career as a police officer. He taught us all the value of respect and the importance of being a law enforcement officer.
To the Loukides family, my husband and I worked with him at the church festival for many years. Lou introduced Joe to the 2nd Company Governor's Foot Guard of New Haven. Lou will be truly missed.

Dear Loukides Family,
We are sorry for your loss..Our father also passed last May...they were two very dedicated police officers, great friends , wonderful fathers and the top police shooters in the country in their younger years. We were so proud of both of them and all of the trophies and medals they won together. They were truly NHPD's Finest.
Dear Katina and Family,
Our fathers served for many years together in the NHPD. We often heard of your father's kindness and his great skill as a marksman. We were all proud of your dad. On behalf of the Jack McGowan family, we send our sympathy and love.
Great man with a wonderful sense of humor! He would always make my day
I've lost another police brother. I knew him and worked with him when I was training dir. For Hamden PD. You are missed. Lt. Vreeland, Ret.
My deepest condolences to Lou's family. Please know that Lou was well liked and highly respected by all that knew him. I am honored that Lou was one of my firearms instructors. May God bless him.
I am saddened to know of Lou's passing. He was a great person with a heart of gold. I will remember fondly as a cheerful, kind and generous person.
He had the patience of Job ...he was my firearm instructor and taught me to master shooting. My condolence to the family. He was the best of the best...
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
I worked with Lou for over twenty-five years. He was truly one of the good guys. He had the ability to make you feel you weren't working a job, you were interacting with family. He had this warmth and gentle way about him, and he always had that great smile. He taught me much about being a giving person, about not working the job, but living the job and enjoying what you were doing. Who ever spent time with Lou, was better by that experience. Lou will not be forgotten.
On behalf of the staff at Solamor/Life Choice Hospice may I extend our deepest sympathies to Louis's family. Our prayers are with you.
