My condolences. ECSU '99
May 15, 2014
You were my favorite professor. Thank you for challenging me in the classroom, Lee, and then encouraging me to become a professor myself. You were already a legend back when I was at Eastern in the eighties. Now you are missed.

I am honored that for the past 20+ years you have called me "friend." When I think about all that we have talked about and shared through the years, I smile, laugh and cry!! you shared so much of your knowledge and world with me that I became a better person. I am so grateful that my world grew in many ways due to your love and friendship. All of the conversations, cups of coffee, laughs & tears will always be in my memory and my heart.

she was fiesty with a kind heart I took her anthropology class in 1988 as an elective at ECSU I remember some troublemakers in her class...she turned and said Go home and dismissed the class "come back when you want to learn something" I was a psych major and many instructors didnt want to be bothered with students they werent mentoring or from another discipline. Dr. Langley took the time to speak to any student if they were interested. She also greeted students at the History dept if the chair wasnt available. She seemed kind and gentle if you were sincere and had more empathy and a sharp whit that made her subtly entertaining more so than some of my advisors.
