Dear Susan and family,
Les and I loved your Mom and Dad. They must be so happy to be together again. We are sorry that we could not attend the services but I wanted to let you know that we will be praying for both of them and for your family.
We have been so blest to know them. They have been an inspiration to us and other married couples.
God bless you all.

Uncle Buddy meant the world to my mom, Betsy, since he was her only big brother and her Dad passed when she was a young girl. She always said "poor Buddy" having to deal with 7 sisters, especially on date night. Her admiration of him lead to my admiration of him. Though I didn't get to know him as well as I wished, I have fond memories of one afternoon I spent with him and Jaye when I was young and thinking how funny they both were and how they were "pretty cool" for an older couple! I feel like I missed out on something. Loved reading about him in the obit. The family is reuniting again in a new location and The Petticoat House will live on.

Dear Peter and Sharon:
Our sincere sympathy to you and your family over the death of your Dad. He must have been a wonderful family mentor and a true American Hero. What a wonderful full life he must have enjoyed.
Fondly, Don & Barbara Chapman
