I had Professor Frumer for undergrad accounting classes circa '67-'68 and he helped me line up a teaching assistanceship when I came back after military service. Stayed in touch for many years just because he was a great guy.

My Dad had Professor Frumer for Financial Accounting in 1963. I had him for Trusts and Estates in 1984. While taking roll call the first class he inquired if I had a relative who attended IU. He remembered my Dad. He went on to supervise my honors thesis and greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career in taxation. While back for my MBA in 1990 one of the most humbling experiences in my entire career was when he asked me to teach one of his classes while he was away at a conference. One class, yet such a privilege. He had a profound influence on all of us. To this day I still use the term "Joe Dokes". Those of us who had him will recall the stories that followed, which were always filled with crisp insight and humor. Rest in peace Professor Frumer.

I had Prof. Frumer at I.U. back in 1976. He was a very enthusiastic teacher, one of the best I ever had. Great memories for me at Indiana. As my Irish mother would often say, "Until we meet again. May God hold you in the palm of his hand."

Sam and Helen were our best friends while we struggled through graduate school in Bloomington. We will miss him. Ina and Bud Dickstein
