CERUZZI, LOUIS L. Louis L. Ceruzzi, 86, of Woodbridge passed away Oct. 31, 2013 at the St. Raphael's Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lucille Carlo Ceruzzi, who was the love of his life for 61 years. Born in New Haven on April 25, 1927, he was the son of the late Leonard and Maria Ceruzzi. He was a business executive and partner in Connecticut Container Corp., now Unicorr Packaging Corp., for 66 years. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Italian American Historical Society and the Boy Scouts of America. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Louis Ceruzzi, Jr. of Southport, Dr. William Ceruzzi of West Hartford; Judy Ceruzzi-Craig of Greenwich and John Ceruzzi of Southport; three daughters in law, Terese, Dr. Linda & Bernadette Ceruzzi; one sister, Rachael Raffaele of Queens, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kristina, Dr. Jessica, Michael, James, Robert & Alissa; and 2 great grandchildren, Jackson & Blake. He was predeceased by 7 brothers, Peter, John, Michael, Rocco, Joseph, Fred and Frank Ceruzzi and a sister, Raffaela Castrino. Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight), New Haven Sunday from 4 to 7 pm and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Monday morning at 10:00. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden. Lou was an original; he had a quality about him that was not teachable nor duplicatable. People WANTED to do things for him. Being nice, being moral, and being strong were just by-products. He will be missed by all of us who ever met him, and by me especially as he was a mentor and a friend.
