WANTAGE - Anthony "Tony"� Giordano, 94, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover.
Born in New York, N.Y., to the late Domenico and Innocensa Giordano, he had lived in New York before moving to Sussex County 50 years ago. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Giordano had worked at Movie Lab in New York City before he retired at age 62. He was a member of St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex and a member of the Sussex Over 50 Club. Mr. Giordano was predeceased by his four brothers, Ralph, Joseph, Alexander and Frank Giordano; and his two sisters, Katie Luvera and Jean Giordano. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Loretta "Lorraine"� (Hausler); his three daughters, Kathy Hunterton and her husband, Dave, of Montague, Joanne Masker and her husband, Cliff, of Wantage, and Donna Larmour and her husband, Bill, of Franklinville; his brother, John Giordano, of Little Egg Harbor; his sister, Frances Valentine, of Little Egg Harbor; his seven grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan and his wife, Amy, Patrick and his wife, Shauna, Mandy Snyder and her husband, Mark, Lara Lovett and her husband, Brad, Corinne Bittiger and her husband, Todd, and Jared Masker and his wife, Cheryl; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will held at 10:30 a.m. from Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex, Tuesday, Feb. 18. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Ave., Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Pinkel Funeral Home. Private cremation services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Tony's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell St., Dover, NJ 07801.
