I met Bill when I was hired to fill in at Newton High School for a teacher who was on sabbatical. He went out of his way to make me feel like a member of the teaching team at both in school and social events. Bill had one of the most positive attitudes of anyone I have ever met. When I had an opportunity to move to Colorado he was one of the people who encouraged me to pick up and "go west." I do not know what would have happened had I stayed in the Northeast. But I do know my life has turned into a wonderful adventure that I never would have known without the encouragement of Bill and others. Rest in Peace Bill.

Mr. Oneal was my Spanish teacher at NHS. I remember him as being very friendly, pleasant and helpful. My friend, Joe Morrison visited with him at the 2011 Class Reunion and revisited some humorous episodes during our time at NHS. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Mr Oneal will always remain a bright memory from my years at Newton. Although I never had him as a teacher- we were and always will be the Newton High School Family.

We will miss your smiling face sitting among your friends as we walk through Bristol Glen. We will remember your kind exchanges. Bob will remember you as his great Spanish teacher at Newton High School. A life lived helping others and bringing tremendous joy to so many! God bless you Mr. O'Neal...Heaven's newest angel...Singing praises to our Lord! Peace!

Mr. Oneal was a great influence on my efforts at foreign language at NHS, and always encouraged me to excel. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
