ECKLER
Aubrey Nelson, 87, of Burlington, went to be with the Lord and his family, Thursday, July 25, 2013 from his home. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, was a member of Greeenview Baptist Church, and was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Pennington Eckler, son Phil Eckler, and brothers Norman, Roger, and Herschel Eckler. Survivors include his grandson Mark Eckler of Covington, daughter-in-law Betty Eckler of Burlington, niece and caregiver Lora (Bobby) Trueax of Brooksville, KY;grandchildren Donnie, Kelly, Samantha, Mandy, Adam, Kevin, and Katie; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Greenview Baptist Church. Burial will be at Burlington Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Greenview Baptist Church, 1050 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY, 41005 or St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1 Medical Village Drive, Suite 213, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017. Dear Lora & Bobby and family, Remember you have been a wonderful caregiver and God will give you the comfort you need during this time. The stories you have told me I know your Dad was a wonderful man. Be at peace that he is now resting no more pain & suffering. He was very blessed to have you in his life. So sorry to hear about Uncle Aubrey Aunt Lora. I know how much you loved him. I will be there on the 31st. I remember how funny he used to be. He will be missed.
