I studied acting and dancing with Lou Myers in Harlem New York. He directed me in several off, off, Broadway plays. When I resided in Brooklyn, he visited with me and my friends, listened to music, laughed and talked.Lou had a wicked, wicked sense of humor, so, so human and sensitive. I was sorry to hear about his passing. Kenya Spear

YOU'RE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
I only met Lou once and that was when he served as MC of the All Black Schools Hall Of Fame ceremony in Charleston, WV. The way he conducted and carried himself left a lasting impression on me. He was a gracious, "down to earth" gentleman and a great role model. I regret I didn't get to know him longer but I am happy he came my way during my lifetime.
Sorry for the passing of a very talented man.
My prayers goes out the family of (Mr. Gains). I am sad to hear that he has passed away. I enjoyed watching him on the TV screen. He always made me smile. Heaven has another angle that would keep them laughing. RIP

Lou was in college with me and I remember him well. We grew through the years as I watched him display his many talents to the public. West Virginia was my home and to see him portray his love and genuine talent to the world is such a joy. Rest in peace. To the Meyers family, you have my deepest sympathy. Erskine Agee, Brooklyn, N. Y.
We were in constant contact, just attended his Piano Debut last year where he was a one man show and preformed for a small audience as if there were hundreds. As a West Virginian my self, an alumni of West Virginia State College, membership chairperson for New York/New Jersey Chapter, Lou Myers did us proud. He served humanity as how he would have served God with impeccable taste. He leaves a legacy for others to follow by example. Pick up the torch and go forth in the name of Jesus because the children of today so badly need your love and sincerity. God bless the Meyers family and especially the memories of that grandmother whom I understand raised him. Remember only what we do to make this world a better place is what counts in eternity. Love you "Mr. GAINS!" Elinor Mann Agee, Brooklyn, N. Y.
My deepest condolences to the Myers family. Mr. Lou was very talented. He will be dearly missed. May you find comfort in the good times.

Our Dear Mr. Gaines was a person who lived his life to the fullest. Now he's asleep hoping to hear the words Lazarus heard when Jesus resurrected him saying "Lazarus come out" meaning from the grave. So for now rest in peace.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT SHOWS
tyra mitchell wow i watch him in many shows sorry for the loss my prays are with you
Lou Myers was one of my funiest actors I really loved him in a different world and fighting tempation. He will truly be missed RIP
I grew up watching you!! You brought humor and an old-school wisdom to the characters you played. I particularly enjoyed you as Whining-Boy in the "Piano Lesson".
Rest well!
My Deepest Sympathy to the Myers family, Mr Myers was a great actor and I will always remember that stern demeanor of "Mr.Gaines". RIP
Rest in Peace Mr. Gains!!!
My sincere condolence for the loss of LOU your dear loved one. May your fond memories of him bring back good thoughts. Peace and love to your family and friends, and to the spirit that you show. bjluv333@comcast.net
