Mr. Durning was always an actor at the top of his craft. I've always enjoyed his work, and was most pleasantly surprised to see him on NCIS. He will be missed. R.I.P.

Charles Durning was a wonderful actor but I count his military service in World War II as his biggest achievement. On at least three occasions, he shed blood for his country and endured some of the worst combat in the ETO. He carried the burden of seeing lives lost and having to take lives. I found out about this years ago and, like all the other actors who have served our military, I hold them in a lot higher regard. RIP, buddy!
