In all photos he looks so healthy and young, it's difficult to think he is gone. To Mr. David, Mrs. Dodo and Mariam my deepest condolences.

The song Fearless Hero describes it all. Anybody who knew Nodar was extremely lucky.

Nodar is remembered daily. His bravery and sacrifice defines the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. And, I agree with the post from Jim Moore that the story of Nodar Kumaritashvili has just just begun.

To David, Dodo, and Mariam Kumaritashvili, I am so very sorry about what happened to precious Nodar. One night recently while I was crying and so worried about Nodar, a message came into my heart. The message was, "Nodar is safe; I've got him!" I have asked God to tell Nodar how proud you are of him. I believe that He has.
My heart is joined with yours.I share with you the heaviness of losing him and the hope of seeing him again.

I am a licensed funeral director and when I heard that Nodar was killed in an accident before the 2010 Olympics had started my heart went out for him, his friends and especially his mother - Dodo, father - David and his sister - Mariam, and of course all of his relatives and friends at home and at the Olympic.
I watched everything except for the crash on my computer, saved pictures of Nodar from the memorial service in Vancouver, B.C. to arriving home, his visitation, funeral and at the grave site.

I am still upset about Nodar's death and feel very emotional just thinking about what he had gone through. Nodar is my hero and a Gold Medalist.

My prayers go out to Nodar, his mom - Dodo, his dad - David and sister Mariam.

Rest in Peace Nodar.
