Hi Dad,
It is hard to reach out to you because it just makes it all so real that you are gone. That being said, I felt your presence around me today and really do know that it was a sign from you when we got the email TODAY (on the 1 year anniversary of your passing) asking to sign notary papers so we can officially sell our home. It has been a full year to the day that you left us. Many firsts have happened in the last year.... Megan graduated from high school and you were missed physically but I did feel your presence in spirit. Then she went off to college (University of Alabama), Corey got his first job at Panera. He would have loved to have had you visit us so he could have served you and enjoyed you ribbing him in your British accent about your order. :) I was nominated by a student at my school for the annual ambassador award and WON it. I thought of you as I received it and know you were proud of my accomplishment as a teacher who just wants to bring a passion for learning. I just want you to know that I miss you! There has not been a single day that has gone by where I have not thought about you, or had a conversation with you, or looked at your picture. I just really really miss you. I know you are at peace and that brings me comfort but it doesn't take away the pain of not being able to talk or see you when I want to. Don't stop sending me signs. It makes me feel close to you. I love and miss you very much.
Love your oldest daughter

He was my English teacher at L.W. Higgins, and really so much more than that. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet and learn from him.

Hi Dad,
Just thinking about you and wishing so badly that I could just call you on the phone and talk. I celebrated my birthday on Monday but all I wanted was to get my special call from you telling me how 48 years ago today you were at Touro hospital waiting to hear that I was brought into the world. I MISS YOU!! beyond all words MISS YOU!! I love you very much and hope you know how empty it feels in this world without you in it.
