Memories and Condolences
for Dorothy Mullins

Not sure what to say?

Granny,

You were one of the most amazing people I ever had the pleasure of knowing, and you were in my family so I knew we all came from good stock. I Loved you so much, all the memories of staying at your house when I was a kid are rushing back to me. I remember when you used to give me peppermints as candy, you let us stay up and watch tv, you made coffee everyday and made me bread and butter every time I stayed over. They're memories i'll always keep. I drew a picture of you and the entire family this year, and even though you weren't there to celebrate with us, I know you would've still enjoyed it. Thanks again for being my Granny. I Love you

Mom there isn't a day that goes by that I am not thinking of you and reflecting on the wonderful times our family shared throughout the years.

You are truly truly missed. I will never forget the things you taught me and the lessons you gave me.

Truly an awesome Mom a son can have and I thank you for that.

Love you always,

To my wonderful Mother
Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I miss you so much.
You tried so many times to prepare us for that fateful day you leave us, but we did not want to hear it. I realize that you belonged to God and he entrusted you to us to nurture and love us, and you did just that. I thank God for you. I thank you for the things you taught me and to make me the woman I am today. I realize that you would not want us to be sad. I do cry a lot from missing you. I miss talking to you, doing things for you and just having you here. I found a note you left and you said in the note to go on with life and to not forget you. I will go on because that was your wish, and I will never forget you. You are forever in my thoughts and I love you forever.

Granny,

It has been so hard for me to write this entry because I know it is closing a chapter of my life that I never wanted to end. I miss you so much. I never knew how much you meant to me now that you aren't here. I know though that you are still alive in my heart and you watch us all from Heaven. I hope I make you proud Granny. I hope that I will use everything you taught me to the best of my ability. I love you so much and that will never change no matter what. Thank you for being the best grandmother a granddaughter could ever have. I would never change it for the world. I love, love, love you so much and I know that we will see each other again. Love you Granny!

Granny,

Oh how you have been missed this year. For 32 great years I had you in my life, loving me and teaching me how to be a better man. A man that loves his family and makes them proud. I strive to do that each day. And when times get hard or the day get's a little crazy, I take a step back and think of all the great times we had. Even though you are not here in body, your spirit lives on through your children and grandkids.

Loving you always. Thinking of you every day.

Dear Granny,
My life has not been the same since you left this Earth. Although I have moments when I miss you like crazy and want to talk to you, I have to remind myself that you are no longer in pain and you are with your son, husband, siblings and parents. You taught me so much about life and I am the woman I am today because of who you are. I am blessed and fortunate to have spent 30 years with you, although I selfishly wanted more. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, and I know that will never change. Your passing taught me the meaning of life and that we are only here for a period of time, so you have to live and love to the fullest. Your spicy legacy lives on in us, and I know it will continue with our children and their children. My only regret is that you will not physically be there on my wedding day or to hold my children; but I am sure your spirit will manifest in some form during those times. I love you always my sweet angel, until we meet again.

To my granny,

I know that I will see you again one day, and it comforts me to know that you're up their keeping my dad company. It breaks my heart to realize all the time and memories I have missed out on making with you... but your memory reminds me to take advantage of every minute we have with our loved ones. I love you.

January 11 one month to the day when God's angels came and took you away. I miss your voice your laughter and your smile and our talks as I drove home. There are days when I pick up the phone only to remember that you are not at your earthly home,
Words cannot express how much I miss you but I know I will see your smile again when we meet in our heavenly home.

To My Mother

My Angel up in Heaven

My angel up in heaven, I wanted you to know,
I feel you watching over me, everywhere I go.
I wish you were here with me, but that can never be,
Memories of you in my heart, that only I can see.

My angel up in heaven, I hope you understand,
That I would give anything, if I could hold your hand.
I'd hold you oh so tightly, and never let you go,
And all the love inside of me, to you I would show.
My angel up in heaven, for now we are apart,
You'll always live inside of me, deep within my heart.

To My Wonderful Mother

Heaven Needed Mom

So many things of Mom I miss--
Her gentle hug and tender kiss
I still can feel her warm embrace
And picture yet her loving face
A mother's tasks are never done
And Heaven must have needed one
For Angels came and took her hand
And led her to God's promised land
She's surely kept quite busy there
While brushing little angels' hair
And making sure there're dressed just right
Not staying out too late at night
Although there's sadness, this I know--
She's waiting there, her face aglow
I close my eyes and I can see--
Her arms still open wide for me.

Rest In Peace my Sweet Angel

Until we meet again.

I love you!!!!!

My Heartfelt Sympathy to the Coleman-Mullins Family. I had known Mrs. Mullins since I was a childhood friend in Jr High with Carolyn. I visited with Lyn at their house in New Orleans and Mrs. Mullins was such a sweet and kind Christian lady. My Mother and Mrs. Mullins would talk when they saw each other shopping in Schwegman's, so many years ago. What a Blessing it was to see Mrs. Mullins when I visited Lyn in Charlotte. I lift your family in prayer for comfort in your sweet memories. How wonderful that she saw you grow up and her grandchildren grow up. Generations, now that was special. Cherish those loving times. Be encouraged that she lived a full life and you were very close. May the Grace of our Heavenly Father be a constant peace for your soul. Trust in the Lord's Unchanging Hand. Love you, Monalisa

Nicole, I'll never forget the great time I had staying with your Grandpa Andrews and then staying with your Grandma and Grandpa Mullins nearly 20 years ago during our spring break visit. It was a wonderful and memorable trip and I'm so glad that they were a part of that experience. The time we have with our loved ones is never enough, but I'm grateful that your grandmother was there not only for your wedding, but also that you were able to spend more time with her in these past several years since she lived so much closer. I always viewed that time you all had with her as one of the blessings to come from the tragedy that was Katrina. You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and I hope that you are able to find peace and comfort in the coming days and weeks.

Love,

December 14, 2012

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
