"Miss Gladys" was an extraordinary person by anyone's estimation.
She supported her sons, Ricky and Russell, in everything they did. The first time I met her -- more than 40 years ago -- she was helping out at a NORD Theatre first-night. And I mean hands-on helping out. She was great company, a funny lady in her own right and a constantly surprising one. We can only hope that we have a fraction of this lady's optimism, bravery and joie de vivre as we grow older.
She lived a great, meaningful life and brightened so many others.
