Our love and prayers go out to you, Pat. We just learned of your loss of both Louis and Robert. We feel blessed to have known them and you. Kathryn and Wilfong
The world is a lesser place without you now but we shall always be grateful for and remember your service to country, city and parish. Ever loyal, ever true. God Bless you and give Robert a hug for me.
It was a pleasure to know and work with you Louie, your are one in a million. We miss you already. Rest in Peace my Brother, Take care of all of our loved ones up there . See you soon.
Mrs. Berard and Kathleen,
I'm so sorry to hear of Louis' passing and extend my condolences to you and to his wife. I didn't know him well in his adult life after he returned from duty in Viet Nam except through Robert, but we were all pretty close as teenagers.
Knowing him then and through following his career in law enforcement, I know he was a man of conviction to principles that never wavered. They were all taken from us far too soon, Mr. Berard, Allen, Robert, and now Louis before we could learn from them what they obviously had learned. But I am sure they remain with us to guide us in those ways.
God Bless Louis! And may he become our newest guardian angel, whispering in our ears and always helping us to know what is the right thing to do.
Louie, you were an inspiration to all of us. See you up there some day soon.
RIP, my cousin, Louis! Love you! Aunt Pat and Kathleen, my prayers are with you!
It was a pleasure, Louis. Rest in Peace
What a great guy, and he will be missed by so many people. You always knew where you stood with Louie, no question. I'm glad I had the chance to know and work with you. Rest easy, brother, you've served well.
My thoughts and prayers to the Berard family - I always saw Louie as the strong silent type - The "Clint Eastwood" of law enforcement - He wasn't a man of many words but his love and dedication to the job said it all.
RIP Louis, it was great to have known you, hope to see you on the other side
Louie Berard..... one tough cop. That about sums it up.
There will never be another Louie Berard to wear a badge anywhere in this world.
I was blessed to have worked with Louie in the 90's and again just before he retired in 2011. Louie made such a positive impact on me and my career. I do not believe I would be half the cop I am today if I had never known him. I learned more from Louie than I could ever learn out of book or in a seminar. Working with Louie was a crash course in Advanced Police.
I will always remember Louie's warped sense of humor and that devilish "I know something is about to go down" grin he would get.
Rest in peace brother, you will be missed, but I assure you will not be forgotten.
Rest well my Brother, you have earned eternal rest and peace.
Good Bye old friend. You were the epitome of what the real police were and should be. Stoic and necessary. It was an honor to know you and work with you. You will always have my admiration. God Bless you.
God bless you, Louie...May you rest in peace, my brother.
