When God made Otto, He broke the mold. Otto was a very dear friend and mentor to me when we worked together at WTIX and WRNO. When I had questions, Otto always had the right answers. To this day when there is a perplexing situation in business, I often ask myself, what would Otto do? I am very sad to learn that my good friend Otto has passed away. He was a very kind and generous man, and I will always carry his words of encouragement and wisdom with me in my heart. Rest in peace. Doc Watson

I'll miss a good friend. We had a long run.

Otto was a wonderful man who was very generous with his knowledge and photos of New Orleans' streetcar history. He was a really sweet man and will be sorely missed.

Otto was always energetic and cheerful. That's how we'll remember him.

My father, Arthur Barnett, always spoke very fondly of his friend, Otto Goessl. My dad predeceased him by two years, but I know he would have been very saddened by this news, as am I. It always tugs on my heart to hear of the loss of people close to my father. Please know I am thinking of you at this difficult time. And that this sad news has brought back fond memories of my dad and his wonderful friendship with Otto.
