To me, Mrs. Hazel Fullmer was a perfect representation of the warmth and whit that is New Orleans. She was a woman brimming with a unique love and kindness towards everyone she met. She was always able to lighten the moment with a playful joke or anecdote. God bless this wonderful woman. She will be forever admired and fondly remembered.

Hazel was a real delight. We met after I married George in 1992 and Donald and I were cousins albeit distant ones. I used to see them at St. Dominic's and in later years we were both exercising at EJ Wellness center. Then she and Jim ended up here in Baton Rouge where we had come with Katrina and we were all members of St. George. My sympathy to the whole family. I am so glad I had the chance to know her.
