Jay,

May the Lord be with your family during this time of mourning and grief. You were a positive influence on my life during my high school years and while being a member of the Valencia Club in the 1970s. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and service to New Orleans youth of yesteryear.

Sincerely,

Michael P. Kleiman

Dana, Kim, Lane and Carter, I am so sorry that I was not with you all yesterday!! I only just read about the memorial a few minutes ago, or I certainly would have been there!! I have such wonderful memories of you dad from our youth on General Diaz!! The first of which was of him popping my first loose tooth on Halloween, LOL! It was so sad to have to move away from each other when they build I-610 . . . but the memories and friendships will be with us forever! I hope if you need anything, you will give me a call!

Much love to you all!!

Jay Molony was a one in a million great guy. Besides all his other accomplisments, he organized the State championship Valencia basketball team coached by Ed "Skeets" Tuohy who went on to coach championship teams at Newman. Danielle and I will always remember the Valencia Ski trip to Sierra Blanca, New Mexico. Carter, remember the fun and laughs. Jay had unlimited energy that was contagious. We will sadly miss him. Our prayers are for Carter and his family and all who loved him.
