SCHRADER John Eugene Schrader was taken to his eternal home with his Savior, Jesus on November 18, 2012. He passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Trudy, his daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn & Wendell Tanner and 5 grandchildren: Anastasha & Jonathan Wallace and Courtney, Carolina & Zack Tanner. John was born and raised in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and a resident of Slidell since 1973. John was a founding member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, founded in 1974. He graduated from Southern Illinois University and Covenant Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. He retired from Martin Marietta in 1999 after 23 years of working as a design engineer in the aerospace industry. He's a veteran of the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 710 S. Military Road, Slidell on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Visitation will be at 10:00am in the sanctuary followed by a service at 11:00 to celebrate his homecoming into heaven. Arrangements by Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
