Not sure what to say?

Dear Uncle John,
I will treasure the times I had with you and Aunt Marie, I got very close to you after Katrina and feel I was blessed to have you, Aunt Marie, Joy, Wilke, Steve with their families in my life again. My mom loved you'll so much as I do. I know you and her are up there holding hands again as you did walking to school all those years ago.
On Saturday before or after church it was not a burden but a pleasure to bring you your sandwich, groceries, or take you wherever you needed to go if Aunt Marie couldn't, you touched so many people's lives as you did mine, I will miss you.
I Love You,
Terri

John Barbe'

If you said that name around Girard playground the children would say "Who is that?" But, if you mentioned Mr. Baseball they would know exactly who you are talking about.
He was well know at our playground. I remember the first time I meet him. He was standing behind the home plate coaching each batter! he loved all those boys. He loved to coach them and give them his best advice. He walked from Metairie Manor to Girard everyday during Baseball season. He always had a folded up newspaper in his hand I think it was an old baseball article.
I will never forget his 75th Birthday party we had for him at Girard. WE made it very special. We had a Limo pick him up, he threw the 1st pitch in the game, The times picayune came out and did a story on him. He felt very special.
We will never forget Mr. Baseball. Prayers are with you.
