To Kevin, Zonthia, Veronica, Courtney,Kevin's kids, and his siblings. I could not believe the news when I heard it. He was too young. In my eyes, his work here on earth was un done. God saw it differently and said "Your work here is finish." I can remember him at walking in high tops. Running around the house with my kids when we came to visit my in-laws. My prayers are with you all you. He would have come back, but when he saw God's Glory!! Be Strong.

I only had the opportunity to meet Kevin over the past couple of weeks when our sons played on the same basketball team. I am so sorry for your loss and wish had I known him sooner. I can tell by reading the words of all that knew him that he was a great person. I take comfort in knowing that I will see him one day soon in heaven. May God comfort you in the days to come.

I work at Travelers Aid at DFW Airport and we work very closely with the DFW police department. It didn't matter what the situation was, from an unruly passenger to an unattended bag, Officer Thornton always dealt with it with his beautiful smile and kind nature! The world lost a great man and DFW lost an incredible officer! My prayers are with him, his family and the rest of the DFW police department. You will never be forgotten Officer Thornton!

To Kevin Sr.,Zonthia and the Thornton Family; May God Bless you an your family during this time of sorrow. Be of good courage because God knows best. Kevin Jr. is absent from the body and present with the Lord. Grief can be so hard, but our memories helps us cope with the lost of our loved one. Lean on each other for love and support and cling to God's word.
Reflecting back on the day he was born and the day you and Kevin, Sr. brought Kevin home from the hospital; I had just given birth to Tiffany 3 week earlier and we were such proud parents. Even though we lost touch over the years, my heart is heavy right now but I know earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal.
James 4:8 encourages,
"Draw close to God and he will draw
close to you".
Love, Stephanie Turner, Tiffany, and Ronald Coleman, Jr.

Cousin, there are SO many things I didn't get the chance to tell you, or do with you. Always putting stuff off for a later time... My heart sunk when I heard the news, but knowing you, you still have that huge kool-aid smile on your face right now! My fondest memories were walking around the corner in Hollygrove to you guys house to play after we all met one another, lol! Where does the time go? The kids and I looked at some pictures the other night of you during Christmas of 2000 at Aunt Susan's & Uncle Clarence's house - everyone looked so happy ? I'll miss you.... I love you. May you rest in eternal paradise and give Papa, Big Mama & Papa, Uncle Evans, Ms. Alice and Tee Joyce our love!!!
