Dear Shannon, after 10 years I still find myself coming back to your page. I hope you are peaceful in the knowledge of what people have done and are continuing to do for the love of the animals. You would be so proud. I found this song and hope you would not mind me putting it here as those of us who are still on earth might find it finding joy when it is our time to join you. Hugs to you. Hi Shannon,
With the anniversary of Katrina many of us are reeling once again with the thoughts and memories that haunt us all. You will forever be a part of all of our memories... All I can hope for is there is in fact a rainbow bridge where we will all see one another again. Please look for my dear Margaret who left me this past Christmas. I hope you are at peace.

Jennie, my thoughts are always with you. I cannot even imagine...

I did not know you, Shannon, but I know of your work. You did so much to help animals and those of us who cherish them. The anniversary of Katrina always brings back a flood of emotions and I always think of you, even though we never met. I volunteered after Katrina, too. It had a profound effect on my life. Reading all that you accomplished with the Pets Act makes me both happy and sad. Happy that you pushed for its passage and sad that I never knew you. I know the Rainbow Bridge was a busy place when they all came to greet you. Rest easy.

I am always touched when someone remembers Shannon and comments here. So many years have passed and the healing still continues. I suppose I will miss my daughter until my dying day.

I bought a fundraiser Katrina T shirt online from you years ago....I ran across that shirt today, packed away and thought of you and what a loss to all creatures great and small..... See you someday. XOXOX Margo J

Hey little one.
Has it really been 8 years? Hard to believe but my admiration for you and what you did in the short 10 months that we worked together has not dimmed one bit.
I love talking to you. Later .......

Dear Shannon,
Just checking in. Lost Dogs of Texas is really on fire. We have reunited almost 3500 dogs now (just in Texas). Wish you were here to start one in LA. We now have a total of 9 states and are growing. Still think of you, my friend. Hope to see you in Heaven someday and we can watch all the little ones having fun! Prayers to your family as I know they must miss you terribly. Catch you next year.

Love, memories and your absence remain. I hope the Rainbow Bridge led to where Ginson was waiting for you.

Shannon, I still think sometimes how you could answer a question or help me out . . . So sorry you are not here. . .

Dear Shannon, this is the first year I forgot the date of Katrina. I was reminded by Anita and Mindy and all the wonderful people who are still fighting for the animals. Stealth Volunteers is now offically gone, but Marilyn started a group called Lost Dogs of Texas, so I jumped in and joined her. It is so good to be reuniting families and their pets again. Since July of last year (when we started) we have reunited over 2,000 pets! You would be so proud of us...and we have 4 or 5 other states doing the same thing. Eventually we hope to have all of the states with their own website on Face Book. (So people still have a place to go for help to find their fur babies.) Love you, Shannon. Know you are smiling down on us and what we are doing as you were always encouraging everyone to do what they could.
