The following is a poem that I have admired for a long time and I would like to send this poem to by dear friend Shelley Life is a miracle, and the right to live is a gift, It's wrapped in a ribbon woven with dreams, and whether you are very young or very old, life is filled with wonder and surprises. Shelley lived his life to the fullest and we will never forget him Love You Shel

Gary Gallner and family-

Gary,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Although I did not know your brother well, I know how well thought-of he was. I know you are all missing him and the thoughts and prayers of my family are with you.

To the Gallner Family:
I was saddened to hear of Shelley's passing. I worked as a law clerk for him many years ago. His passion for justice was always evident. His real caring for each and every one of his clients was a lesson that I will never forget. It was a great honor to have known him. He was a bright light to his profession and his greater community. My deepest sympathies go out to his family.

My condolences to the family. Shelly was a very generous man who helped me countless times on various cases. He was a consummate attorney and he will be greatly missed.

I went to school with Shelley at Bloomer and AL. He was a friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I am attaching a photo from our 9th grade basketball team. Our team lost one game in three years.

Shelley was a very close friend for the past 35 years. In the early years we would attend a lot of Brownell Talbot sports events. He was instrumental in helping my brother with filing and getting disability claims, and gave me a lot of invaluable legal advice over the years. He was very kind hearted and had a great since of humor. I left Council Bluffs 15 years ago, but always kept contact with Shelley and would meet him for early breakfast when I was in town at the Cracker Barrel. He was extremely proud of his kids and their accomplishments. I will miss him and that piece of my life is gone

Kim, Michael ,Goose and family...Word just reached me in Louisville of Shelley's death. I was surprised and saddened. While time and distance separated us- I am grateful for his friendship and the many fond memories that I have of my dear friend.

From Washington School to Bloomer School,Abraham Lincoln to college trips. From Church Little League baseball to double dating and to our professional careers in Council Bluffs...we shared so many wonderful times. Shelley was also a very special friend to my Mom -his old First Congregational Church baseball coach and long time fan of he and Michael.

There are no "just right" words to ever express sympathy but I want to share a few...that I hope will bring a measure of comfort to each of you.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge - myth is more potent than history - dreams are more powerful than facts - hope always triumphs over experience - laughter is the only cure for grief and love is always stronger than death.

I also believe that these words truly reflect the person Shelley was in this life.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you - today and in the days ahead.
