Dear Makarita, Mihiata, Benjamin and Whanau,

Our loving sympathy in the loss of your dear Mother. We rejoice that she has graduated to her true reward - at Home with her Saviour and Lord, Ihu Karaiti. Ken and I are very sorry we can not share in her farewell tomorrow. I would love to be there with you all, but it is not possible. After you rang Mihiata (and thank you very much for letting me know), I felt to get out my 1965-67 diaries, and relived those wonderful Waimate North days. I recalled your Mother coming up to me in the street in Kaikohe, and asking if I could assist at the Sunday School on the marae. This proved a pivotal part of God's calling on my life, and I shall always be grateful to your Mum for this. God bless you all, and may the service tomorrow be full of praise to God for a long life well-lived, together with many fond memories shared. Arohanui, Ken and Julia
