We were quite shocked when Pam told us about Ian`s passing and so were our children. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Pam and all of the special Budd family.
We treasure many memories about Ian in our hearts, too many to mention on this page. The one stands out would be how welcome he and Pam made us when we arrived from Holland 34 years ago and landed in Ararua. They played a big part in our very happy settling in process. We never forget too when one day Ian surprised us with a calf and Wicky, as it was called, has been for a long time part of our lives. Ian had this great sense of humor and had this wicked little smile which helped him get away with about anything. He was a super great and lovely man who surely left his foot prints in our hearts. We especially treasure their visit here on the farm a few years ago when everyone happened to be home- we had a great time.
Sadly we won`t be able to attend the farewell ceremony but be assured you all are in our hearts and thoughts.
Arohanui John and Jeanne van Kuyk and family.
