John Nelson was a king amidst men; a man who was highly respected by every sector of the local community. With an extensive background in farming and horticulture he took on the real estate industry in the Far North and made an incredible contribution for many years as a rural specialist. He was considered the local guru who we all depended on for background knowledge. He knew all the properties along with their history and was always prepared to share his knowledge with colleagues. I cherish what I learnt and the times I shared with this great man. John has left behind a beautiful family who will continue to be pillars of our community - ones we can respect and feel honoured to know.
A final word for John - enjoy walks in the sunshine with Hine, our delightful blue heeler by your side and soak in all the love we had for you both.

I last saw John at the Parua Bay shops only a few months ago with Pam and Angela and as always he was vitally 'present' and loving. He had a gift of making you feel special and no doubt he did so to everyone he met. You will so miss him. Heartfelt love to you all
