Albert Palmieri Obituary

PALMIERI
Albert "Albee," 64, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Born in Englewood and raised in Fairview, NJ he resided in Fair Lawn for thirty-five years. A proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member and present Commander of American Legion Post 171 of Fair Lawn, member of Catholic War Veterans Post 1076 of Fair Lawn, member of the Disabled American Veterans, Vietnam Veterans and a supporter of the Adopt A US Soldier Program.
Mr. Palmieri was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. Albee enjoyed cooking, golfing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Prior to retiring in 2002, he was a data manager with AT&T in New York City for thirty-three years.
Beloved husband of Grace (Occhipinti) Palmieri. Loving and devoted father of Marc Palmieri and wife Christina (Della Pesca), Krista Lope and husband Tony and Jodiann Palmieri and partner Tara Lingenfelter. Cherished "Pop-Pop" of Matthew and Mark Palmieri. Loving son of Mary (Guiliano) Palmieri and the late Dominick Palmieri. Dear brother of Peter Palmieri, Mary Ann Wrocklage and Elizabeth Gysbers.
A funeral mass is planned for Saturday, March 23, 2013, 10:30 AM at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 2-4 and 7-10 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Albee may be made to the American Legion Scholarship Fund, 17-08 River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ or Adopt a US Soldier, 7440 S. Blackhawk Street, Suite 15-106, Englewood, CO 80112.
