wow, Just searching the net and learned of Brennan's passing. He was a beloved English teacher and baseball coach of mine. Sleep with the angels...

I will always remember Fr. Brennan's yearly trips to Maine in the late summertime. It was rooted in tradition with steamers, lobsters and watching some Red Sox baseball--in earlier years, we would go out for a catch. He really knew how to cook and eat the steamers and lobsters. He enjoyed our porch off the condo. Fr. Brennan would go out in the morning and get the papers including the Boston Globe and NY Times. If the day was right, he would go straight to reading the op-eds and I think his favorite column was Maureen Dowd's. He was easy to be around, always in a good mood and enjoyed the simple moments in Maine. Fr. Brennan was there for our first communions and celebrating our weddings. It was memorable and moving to have him be a part of our family for all those good times. You will be missed. Rest in peace and God bless you--Fr. Brennan.

Fr. Brennan, my baseball coach of 6 years, my teacher and role model, was the most humble Friar who was always concerned about others. We now have a strong advocate in Heaven and God help the New York Yankees!

Father Brennan was a true leader and an amazing example to all of us at Callicoon. He was a shining example of a friar and I am proud to have known him. He will be missed by many.

I lived with Brennan for twelve years at Callicoon. I consier him as a very close friend and as a friar who exemplified the message of St. Francis.
We kept in touch over the years and his loss means so much to me and my family. I regret not being able to attend the mass in Boston, due to illness, but he will always be in my mind and more especially in my prayers.
