My mouth fell open, and my heart skipped a beat and hemorrhaged the moment I learned of Dad's passing. My memories of Dan are as vivid as yesterday's sunset. Having been raised with no father to speak of, I can say you were all so lucky to have a man who gave you all so much. The stories I will take with me that include him make me smile and I cherish each and every one of them as I do each of you. Rest assured in knowing he is in the hands of our loving Creator and Lord who welcomed him with open arms into the Kingdom where no harm but only peace will come to him now and where we will all reunite one day to find it the way He intended -- free of hatred, war, evil, pain, sorrow, et ceteras.

P.S. Dan, I will do my very best to get Tony to eat that piece of cake when he comes home every Christmas Eve. Cheers to you, Up Above!
The friends I’ve met along my journey have become the core of my internal universe.
