Earnest Reed Obituary

TOTOWA - Earnest "Ray" Reed, 77, a resident of Totowa since 1986, died Oct. 2, 2013.

Ray was born in Camden, on July 4, 1936. He served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953-1956. He later served as past post commander for the American Legion Post #227 in Totowa where he was an active member for many years. Ray owned and operated Lincoln Automotive in Paterson. Upon closing his business, he was operations manager for Super Speed in Totowa. For the last 10 years, he worked for the town of Totowa driving "his seniors" on day to day errands.

Husband of Nancy (nee Padula) for 38 years. Father of Stephanie McCarty and her husband Shannon, David Reed, Kim Impellizeri and her husband Larry of South Carolina and Cheryl Worley and her husband Terence of South Carolina. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother Howard Reed and his wife Gail of Delanco, and many nieces and nephews. Ray will be deeply missed by his loving companions Riley, Cliffy, Jake and Bailey.
