Edward C. (fondly known as "Godfather"), of Hackensack on December 3, 2012. Beloved husband of Jessie N. Ellison. Father of Deborah C. Ellison and Linda D. Ellison, uncle of Diane Hill (James), Cathy Brisbon (John), Charlene Kearns (Scott), and Charles Storrs Jr. brother in-law of Doris E. Storrs, Mary F. James, Godfather of Benjamine James (Decie). Mr. Ellison was a Veteran of World War II. He was a bus operator with New Jersey Transit for thirty five years before retiring in 1994. Member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for sixty two years. He was a former member of the "Elks" for many years and was elevated to Grand Officer under the leadership of Hobson J. Reynolds, GRAND EXALTED RULER. He became a State Officer under the New Jersey State Association I.B.P.O.E of W., serving as State Director of the Martin Luther King Dept. for five years. Mr. Ellison and his wife Jessie celebrated sixty years of marriage this year. Funeral Services Saturday December 8, 10 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 260 Central Avenue, Hackensack. Visitation 7-9 PM Friday at the church. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Arrangements by Earl I. Jones Funeral Home 305 First Street, Hackensack. Brent Smallwood Senior Director.
