I attended Tisdale from second through fifth grade. I will always remember Mr. Dykstra as a kind and gentle principle, who always had a smile on his face and spoke with the students almost daily.

I'm back... George would laugh at me. Numbers never were my thing. I taught at Tisdale for 14 years! (But time flies when we're having fun, and teaching was fun, mostly),

To all who loved George,
I taught at Tisdale School for 11 years, leaving in 1982 to attend Princeton Theological Seminary. I retired as a Presbyterian minister two years ago. George was by far the best boss I ever had: a man of great integrity, wisdom, and compassion. He always expected the best of his teachers and we usually lived up to it. He was a greater influence on my life than I'm sure he ever realized, and I thank God that I knew him and worked with him. He has earned his rest and reunion with Anita, and from God a hearty "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
