James Hines Obituary
James T. was 82 when he passed away Thursday, November 7th. Born in the Inwood section of New York, James lived most of his life in New Milford where he and his late wife Nora raised their seven children. After serving his country in the US Army, James went on to graduate Manhattan College. After college he worked for New York Telephone as a Manager for over 30 years before retiring. James was the loving father of James T. Hines Jr., Kevin Hines, the late Matthew Hines, Thomas Hines, John Hines, Peggy Cahill, and Patrick Hines. Devoted brother of Dorothy Dedon and the cherished grandfather of Catie Hines, Kevin Hines Jr., Erin Hines, Megan Hines, Nora Hines, Patrick Cahill, Maggie Hines, and Dillon Cahill. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Boulevard Funeral Home 1151 River Road, New Milford, Tuesday 8:30 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM at the Church of the Ascension, New Milford. Burial to follow George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
