We lived in the FW-SB diocese for 25 years, he was the bishop for 24 of them. A tremendous leader who would not back down from anyone. He raised fifty million dollars to undergird Catholic schools teachers' pay and initiated an endowment for the diocesan high schools. Think I know where he is now.

Thank you for being a shining light in our community and our diocese over the years. The Lord has one of the greatest shepherds ever coming home to be by his side. I am sure heavens are in jubilation at your arrival. God Speed Bishop D'Arcy. Thanks for everything.
