To the family of Mr. Lou Parajos. May God bring you peace in your hearts as you reflect on all the wonderful memories of him.-Roman 15:4.
February 24, 2013
I have recently learned from my colleagues that Lou passed away. I am so saddened about this. Lou was such a loving friend to me during the crucial formative adult years when we were making head ways in both family building and careers. I am bereft that I had not seen him at all in recent years. Those same careers and family activities somehow took over our daily lives and we lost touch. It is now during the loss of him that I take the time to reflect upon what that loss has cost me, and all of us, in the fellowship of one who was always kind, witty, upbeat, clear-headed and practical. He was always as a brother to me, one in whom faith and trust would always be cherished and wisely placed. Rest in peace, Lou. I am privileged to have known you. And your legacy continues in our memories and in the glorious, loving and lovely daughter you and Joan brought into the world. I still have all the photos of Amy and Peter playing together in your home. Amy's plastic ride-in push-pedal car which Peter inherited from you all -- complete with "driving lessons" tutored by the older Amy -- was Peter's first taste of the "open road," in your driveway, as we all beamed in the unspoken twinkling joy of our new generation's playful interactions. Unforgettable. Thank you so much for your friendship and always your kindness and support, Lou. You will be missed. Love,
Deborah

I remember warm and funny visits to the Nassivera/Parajos home, sharing quintessential New York stories, while our children had their own grand old time there as well. Lou and Joan were always welcoming and generous hosts. Lou may have worn some of the mildly gruff newsman on the outside, but inside there was a very big heart. He was supremely proud of Amy, smitten as much as any dad could be of his little girl.

With deepest regrets,

Rae Ann Hoffmann and children, and Bob Jones (in memory)

Thank you so much for the wonderful words about my Father. It is so touching to hear.
