Anyone who knew Max even for just a short while would tell you he was a truly unique and special person. Max was never a big fan of conventional wisdom and chose to write his own story-taking each step forward with triumph and pride. His larger-than-life personality, charm and class set Max apart from the crowd and he knew it. Max ALWAYS put the people around him first and was one of those friends who would always say "if you ever need anything…"-except with Max he would actually be there when you needed him most. Some of my best (and craziest memories) were times spent with Max and they will stay with me for the rest of my life. Rest In Peace Max and may your spirit stay with us.

I am Maxwell's mother, Gabrielle.

These messages are the kindest thing you can do for me and my family.

When I read them, I am with Max again if only for a moment.

It helps me cope.

Max called me a techno-tard.

I don't have face book. So I can visit him here and share the parts of Max you knew.

Elena and I first met Max with Francis at Central Park Zoo. They immediately bonded as worldly, precocious young adults - fun, funny, adventuresome, giving and with good hearts. We saw him afterwards and kept abreast of his exploits, but I will always remember him walking on the path with the sunshine bouncing on him between through the breaks in the tree canopy. Blessings, Max, and prayers for your family.
