NEWFOUNDLAND — Services were held for Robert E. Blake, 77, of this community, who died on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
Born in East Rutherford, Mr. Blake lived in Carlstadt before moving to Newfoundland. He was a first-grade performance technician for the Public Service Electric & Gas Co. Hudson Generating Station in Jersey City before retiring 17 years ago.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailors Association and American Legion Post 0289, West Milford.
Services were Saturday at the Kimak Funeral Home, Carlstadt, followed by Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
Mr. Blake is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Cimiluca; his sons, Robert, Jeffrey, and Brian; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, William.
