God bless Rose. She effused an enduring and contagious faith in the goodness of things. I smile every time I think of her and of the extraordinary amount of energy, love and life that she poured into every moment of every day. It was a gift and a blessing to be able to spend so many days with her and with the Fernandez family, and I am tremendously grateful to her and terribly sad to learn of her passing.

I can think of no single person that has had a more enriching and lasting impact on my family than Rose. We came to know her and her family closely as each of my brothers and I, and then my Mom, worked with her at the Garden Center & Florist. We have so many fond memories of her and the Shop, and we rekindle them every single time we get together. She was an extraordinary human being, and I feel very fortunate to have known her.

Rose was as close to a saint as we'll ever find in this world. I had the privilege of working for her and with her when she first opened the Wyckoff Garden Center in the mid-60s. During the several summers and holiday seasons that I was at the nursery when I was in high school and college, I observed her unfailing commitment to the golden rule. Her generosity and kindness of spirit almost startled people. Her exuberance and optimism never faltered even when she experienced tragedy and heartache. She was the sweetest person I have ever known. The world is truly a sadder place with her passing.

We were very good friends of beloved Rose. Sweet kind and just a beautiful person. We love and safe journey.
