I've known you since the day I was born and really cannot imagine you not being here with us. We love you so much and this Easter just wasn't the same without you. Thank you for always telling me that I looked glamorous (even when I was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt), encouraging me when the going got tough (How can I forget how you helped me through graduate school?), and always asking about my students. I'll forever remember your advice ("Don't contradict your students! For every contradiction, you'll receive two answers back!") and our many trips to Lodi Buffet. I'll miss the times when you reminded me just how spoiled my turtle was ("When I die, if there's such a thing as reincarnation, I'd like to be reincarnated as Linda's turtle!") and just how intelligent I am ("Whatever you say, boss!"). I'll treasure all of our memories together and will forever hear your voice in my head when I'm spending way too much money on something I could buy at the dollar store. I'll see you on the other side, Father. Continue to watch over and pray for our family.
