DORAN
William, 92, of Mahwah passed away on August 3, 2014. Born March 25, 1922 in Haledon, New Jersey, he has lived in Mahwah for the past 28 years.
He served with the United States Army during World War II in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He worked in the Textile Industry in Paterson for many years and in construction in later years.
His wife Florence (nee Dunkerley) Doran died in 1985. He is also pre-deceased by four brothers and three sisters.
Survived by son, William R. Doran of Mahwah, grandson, Robert J. Doran and his wife Cynthia of Wanaque, granddaughter, Heather M. Mannix and her husband Brent of Westfield, Indiana and four great-grandchildren; Katherine and Allison Doran and Julia and Tyler Mannix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral Services Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home.
Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
