I am very saddened by the news of Bob's passing. My sincere condolences to Martha and the rest of his family. I started going to Bobs house as a young child offering to help out in his amazing garden. I would bring him sun turtles from the local pond that he would keep in his coy ponds in his garden. I played with his dog Suzy and Martha would sometimes offer me cookies. Bob taught me a great many things and was a great father figure to me. I was just a small boy who lived down the street but Bob was my hero. I could knock on his door or join him out in the garden anytime. He never turned me away even when he was very busy. He always smiled and welcomed my company. I will never forget his wisdom and kindness that has helped me more than he could ever know.
